Denpasar, (Gatra Bali Update.com)- Amankan pelaksanaan Pemilu (Pemilihan Umum) secara serentak Tahun 2024 di Bali, Polri khususnya Polda Bali gelar operasi kepolisian dengan sandi Operasi Mantap Brata (OMB) Agung-2023/2024.
Kepolisian Daerah Bali, mengimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat Indonesia khususnya masyarakat Bali, untuk berhati-hati dengan modus penipuan baru. Sebelumnya, diketahui sempat marak penipuan online melalui WhatsApp dengan berbentuk Aplikasi/APK berjudul undangan pernikahan.

Menjelang tahun politik 2024, kembali beredar modus penipuan baru untuk meretas HP atau Smartphone. Modus penipuan baru ini disebar melalui WhatsApp, baik secara chat pribadi maupun melalui grup.
Informasi ini mulai ramai beredar di grup-grup WhatsApp, yang mana memperlihatkan oknum penipu menyebarkan pesan berbentuk Aplikasi/APK. Aplikasi/APK ini diberi nama PPS Pemilu 2024, yang mana ketika dibuka, maka HP atau Smartphone akan otomatis diretas, sehingga memungkinkan semua data akan hilang dan bahkan bisa melenyapkan saldo di Mobile Banking.
Kabid Humas Polda Bali, Kombes Pol. Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, S.I.K., M.H. selaku Kasatgas Humas Ops OMB Agung mengatakan, “untuk berhati-hati apabila ada yang mengirim pesan APK PPS Pemilu 2024, ini sama seperti apk undangan pernikahan kemarin, agar jangan diklik.”
“Dengan adanya informasi ini, masyarakat diharapkan untuk lebih waspada ketika menerima Aplikasi/APK berjudul PPS Pemilu 2024, usahakan tidak langsung membukanya dan segera mencari informasi detail kepada pihak penyelenggara Pemilu diwilayah masing-masing terkait Aplikasi/APK berjudul PPS Pemilu 2024 tersebut,” tutur Kabid Humas Polda Bali.
